Value International Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Cost Engineer to lead cost management processes, oversee budget planning, and provide strategic financial insights for complex engineering projects. This role requires advanced expertise in cost engineering, a strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and a commitment to ensuring project financial

Key Responsibilities:
- Project Cost Management:
- Develop and implement cost control systems to manage project budgets effectively.
- Oversee all aspects of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
- Advanced Cost Estimation:
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for large-scale and complex projects.
- Utilize advanced tools and methodologies to ensure precision in cost analysis.
- Budget Oversight:
- Establish comprehensive project budgets and ensure adherence to financial constraints.
- Monitor budget performance and provide corrective measures for deviations.
- Cost Control Leadership:
- Lead cost control initiatives and establish best practices to optimize financial performance.
- Perform regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with cost control standards.
- Risk Management:
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate financial risks associated with project execution.
- Provide strategic recommendations to minimize cost-related risks.
- Reporting and Insights:
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports and variance analyses for stakeholders.
- Offer actionable insights to enhance project cost efficiency and decision-making.
- Contract and Tender Support:
- Review and validate tender submissions, ensuring cost accuracy and competitiveness.
- Support contract negotiations by providing financial expertise and cost breakdowns.
- Team Leadership and Mentorship:
- Guide and mentor junior cost engineers, fostering professional growth and development.
- Ensure team alignment with company objectives and industry standards.
- Market Analysis and Benchmarking:
- Conduct in-depth market research to track trends in material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Benchmark project costs against industry standards to maintain a competitive advantage.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure all cost engineering processes comply with local regulations and international standards.
- Stay updated on industry advancements and integrate best practices into workflows.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in cost engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
- Advanced proficiency in cost management tools and software.
- Strong understanding of international cost standards (e.g., AACE, RICS).
- Exceptional leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
