Job Summary

To ensure effective financial control, cost management, and accurate accounting of engineering projects by providing timely financial insights, monitoring project costs and revenues, maintaining budget discipline, and supporting project profitability and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Accounting & Cost Control

• Manage and monitor project accounts, budgets, revenues, and actual costs to ensure alignment with approved financial plans.
• Track and analyze project expenditures, commitments, and cost allocation across engineering and construction projects.
• Prepare and maintain detailed project cost reports and financial records.
• Monitor project profitability and support cost optimization initiatives.
• Review project-related invoices, subcontractor payments, and procurement costs.

2. Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and project-based financial reports.
• Analyze project financial performance and highlight key variances, risks, and financial trends.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support management and project decisions.
• Support management with project cash flow analysis and forecasting.

3. Budgeting & Forecasting

• Lead the preparation and monitoring of project budgets and cost forecasts.
• Assist in project financial planning and cash flow management.
• Conduct variance analysis between actual and budgeted costs and provide corrective recommendations.

4. Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and financial procedures.
• Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation for all assigned projects.
• Support internal and external audits related to project finances and cost controls.

5. Coordination & Business Support

• Work closely with project managers, procurement, engineering, and finance teams to ensure financial accuracy and project efficiency.
• Provide financial support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support commercial and contractual reviews from a financial perspective when required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in project accounting, preferably within engineering or construction companies.
• Strong experience in project costing, financial control, and engineering project accounts.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, cost management, and budgeting.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and financial planning skills.
• Excellent command of English and Arabic.
